There are only 2 choices for travel to Islay. The flight from Glasgow brings you into Islay Airport, just a couple of miles from Port Ellen. By Ferry, you will land either in Port Ellen or Port Askaig.
From Port Ellen
Follow the signs for Bowmore, Islay's capital or turn right
out of the airport carpark. At Bowmore, you will turn left into the main
street and take the right turn at the bottom of the hill. The road follows
the shore round to Bridgend and, at the end of the village, take the left turn
sign-posted for Port Charlotte and Bruichladdich. Carry on along here for
approximately 1 mile and the cottage appears on the left hand side.
